FAQ

For hosts

Sign up for free, then choose New event on your dashboard. Fill in the title, date, location and a cover image, add one or more ticket types with a price and quantity, and publish. Your event gets its own page with a link you can share anywhere.

Guests pay by card at checkout, processed securely by Stripe. Ticket income shows up on your dashboard straight away. Add your IBAN in your profile settings, and withdraw your earnings once your event has ended. A payout is processed within 1–3 business days, and can take another 1–2 business days to show up in your account. There is a €0.25 platform fee per ticket, plus the payment fee of 1.4% + €0.25 per order. For each ticket type you choose whether guests pay the fees on top, so you get the full ticket price, or you include them in the price. See the pricing page for a calculator.

Every event has its own door scanner. Open the scanner page from your event, then open its link on any phone at the door and unlock it with the four-digit PIN. Point the camera at a guest's QR code, or type in their 5-character code if the QR won't scan. Each ticket can only be checked in once.

Yes. Set a doors-close time in your event settings so guests know when they need to arrive. Ticket sales stop at the sales end time you set, or when the event starts. At the door, you can lock a scanner device at any time, and regenerating the scanner link or PIN locks out every device at once.

Let your guests know as soon as possible. You can find everyone's contact details on your guest list. As the organiser, you are responsible for refunding your guests. An event that has sold tickets can't be deleted, but you can set it back to draft to take it offline. If you need help, email us at hello@guestlist.ee.

For guests

Right after you pay, your tickets are emailed to the address you entered at checkout. Each ticket has a QR code and a 5-character code. You don't need an account or an app.

Search your inbox and spam folder for an email from Guestlist with the event name in the subject. Still can't find it? Contact the host of the event: they can find you on their guest list by name or email.

Refunds are handled by the host, as they organise the event. If an event is cancelled, or something comes up and you can't make it, get in touch with the host and they can tell you what's possible.

Good to know: tickets for a specific date don't come with the usual 14-day return window you get when shopping online.

Your name, email address, phone number and your preferred payment method.

Your tickets are sent to the email address you enter, so double-check that it's spelled right.

Still stuck? Email hello@guestlist.ee and we'll help you out.
